MHA advances GBV prevention and response with survivor-focused services and community awareness. We coordinate with healthcare providers, authorities, and partners on protecting women and children from sexual and gender-based violence and wider protection risks—including school-related GBV through support to gender activists, school management committees, and PTAs to foster safer learning environments. Community sessions with parents, religious leaders, chiefs, and judicial staff address women’s rights and the consequences of GBV, with life-saving information on where to access services. Services mapping informs safe referral pathways; where possible we support survivors to access justice and work with specialized actors under confidentiality and informed consent.
